PRP Plasma Riche in Plaquette
INJECTABLES: VAMPIRE LIFT
PRP: platelet-rich plasma
The technique of "Vampire Lift"
PRP involves injecting platelet-rich plasma to stimulate stem cells in the dermis that produce collagen and elastin. It helps rejuvenate and beautify the skin of the face, neck, décolleté and hands or to treat certain skin imperfections.
What is platelet-rich plasma?
Blood plasma containing platelets and growth factors that promote the initiation of natural mechanisms for skin regeneration.
It is prepared from the patient's own blood. It is therefore an autologous product, 100% bio-compatible and without any risk of rejection or allergy.
-Plasma is a serum that contains nutrients, vitamins, hormones, minerals and proteins, essential for cell survival.
-Blood-platelets are coreless cells with mitochondria, microtubules and alpha granules. A blood platelet contains between fifty and eighty alpha granules and synthesizes about thirty bioactive proteins which are growth factors. There are a dozen different growth factors that stimulate stem cells in the area where PRP is injected.
Platelet-rich plasma has been already been used for over twenty years in the treatment of osteoarthritis, tendonitis or rupture of the ligament. Its virtues are now increasingly used in anti-aging medicine.
The indications for PRP injection
The PRP regenerates the skin by acting deep down in the dermis.
The "Vampire Lift": The prevention of aging of the skin
Platelet-rich plasma preserves the skin's natural moisture and protects it against all forms of external aggression (tobacco, pollution, etc.). Ideal from the age of 25 in order to obtain an immediate shine effect and to delay the appearance of the first wrinkles. The "Vampire Lift" was got media attention worldwide by Kim Kardashian and Bar Refaeli. It is also more and more popular in France among the stars of reality TV, including Manon Marsault and Jessica Thivenin.
Face rejuvenation
From the age of forty, wrinkles are well established and the skin of the face and neckline begins to crumple especially if you have done too much sun-bathing. PRP injections will revive collagen production.
Treatment of skin imperfections
PRP is also suitable for attenuating coloured bags under the eyes, improving the appearance of all scars (scars caused by acne, due to accidents or surgery) and treating stretch marks.
Capillary stimulation
The PRP hair helps slow hair loss and stimulate regrowth.
What to expect during the session
The surgeon takes a blood sample from your arm. It is not necessary to have fasted.
The blood sample is then centrifuged in the surgery. This process separates plasma and platelets from red blood cells and white blood cells. The growth factors and proteins in the PRP "boost" the stem cells of the skin that produce collagen and elastin.
The surgeon then injects small amounts of PRP into the dermis using a thin needle on the treated surface.
An anesthetic cream is applied for the comfort of the patient.
Depending on the indication for treatment, a complete PRP treatment comprises three to six sessions. Each session is separated by four to six weeks.
Side-effects
Erythema, edema, itching or transient sensitivity of the skin and a certain amount of blues are possible for a few days. You can return to your daily activities instantly.
The Results
Immediately after the session, there is already a marked improvement in the radiance and the tone of the skin. After one month, the skin becomes more supple, less wrinkled. The surface wrinkles and the skin imperfections subside.
